About us

We are a family of five, and we believe God has called us to love and serve the Japanese people.  We have started this blog to keep our friends and family members informed, as we journey to and minister in Japan.  The title comes from the mission statement of our sending church (Bethlehem Baptist in Minneapolis, MN): “To spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ.”  This is why we exist, and this is why we are going to Japan.

As Psalm 67:4-5 says, “Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth.  Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!”

  2. I am heartbroken over this little family, now gone. I have questions for God concerning their goals, their faith, and their fate. He will be good enough to answer. Praise him from whom all blessings flow.

  3. Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ,
A friend told us to check out an article about adoption that John Piper wrote. When we did, we discovered next to it an article about your dearly loved children and grandchildren, who died a week ago in a tragic accident. We are so very sorry for your loss and want to offer our deepest sympathy to your family and friends. I couldn’t sleep and have been up reading through their blog or trying to with tears in my eyes and I have been praying for you. What they have shared this past year is truly uplifting. I hope to read through all of it and share it with others. We too love our dear Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ and are looking forward to His return. We will look forward to meeting The Pals family. We have two sons in Heaven and 3 of our 4 parents are there too; we look forward to the day when we will all be together again. May you feel God’s presence with you and His loving arms wrapped around you. He is our comfort, our strength, our help and our peace. We know for certain that He will carry you through. His Word is truly comforting. One of our favorite verses is Isaiah 41:10…one of His awesome promises. It says, “Fear not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am Thy God. I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteouseness.” With much love in Christ, Warren, Pam, Bronwyn and Aliyah Hagey

  4. Dear precious family,
Thank you for your blog posts. I felt burdened to share Jesus with Japan just as you did; however, somewhere along the way, the devil came and led me off path. I fell into his trap and have been stuck for some time now. I know that you are all in Heaven now and I want you to know that even though you were still in the process of actually getting to Japan, your passing on early was not for nothing. I believe God is using it right now. It has opened my eyes to reality. I feel inspired again. My soul feels awake again. I have been reminded of what truly matters in life: sharing Jesus’ love with the unreached.
Thank you again. I am excited to meethe you in Heaven one day.
    Sincerely,
    Jessy

  5. Words seem futile and meaningless faced with such an indescribable loss. Tears flow unrequested and unrestrained yet not without hope. We weep with overwhelming grief – perplexed, but not in despair, cast down but not destroyed. Our Father of mercies and God of all comfort sustains us. His promises secure us. His presence sweetly surrounds us. We pray His mercy and comfort for all those affected by this sudden and dark providence.

  6. May your ministry live on and your story be told of the hope you were taking with you to Japan. I just read about the accident and my heart is broken for all that loved you and for all that would of heard the name of Jesus in Japan. Praying Luke 10:2, Send them Lord, send others in their place.
