Partner with us

We are being sent by Bethlehem Baptist Church through WorldVenture to join the Christ Bible Institute team in Nagoya, Japan.  We realize this seems confusing; however, we believe that this arrangement will best equip us to minister effectively in Japan for a long time.

We depend on the prayer, financial contributions, spiritual encouragement and practical help of our friends and family members.  If you are already partnering with us in these ways, we thank God for you!  If you feel that God is leading you to become a new partner, please Click Here, or contact us at Jamison.Pals(at)

  1. Hi Jamison and Kathryne! I guess I was not officially signed up, but I am now. I did read all the posts so far, so don’t fear that I wasn’t in the know. Love you, Mom

    1. Dear Kathy,

I am not eloquent like John Piper. I mourn and weep with you. Although I did not know your son and his beautiful family here on earth, they were my family–my brothers and sisters in Christ. To be honest, their death has shaken me. Not because I question God or how He could have allowed this. I completely trust in our perfect, sovereign God. I’m shaken because I realize…I live a comfortable life. I focus my time and thoughts on the meaningless of this life. As my husband and I consume our thoughts with things like “when should we put in a backyard patio”, or figuring out how our teenagers will share the extra vehicle in a few months, I am suddenly reminded of the fragility of this life, and the short time that we are all given, to make an impact for Jesus. Your son understood this. He was prepared to move away from the “known”–away from the people that he loved here in Minnesota, to explore the boundaries of the “unknown”–the “uncomfortable”, for the sake of JESUS. I don’t know what God is planning…but my heart has been stirred. I am suddenly having thoughts of gathering up our family, leaving it all and submitting myself in total obedience to our Lord–and what that might look like. Where might He take us? Could I do it? Would I have the strength? No. Not at all. But Jesus does, and He would completely sustain us. I have no doubt. Perhaps He would call us to Japan. (I do believe that God is rising up a legion of others to take the place of the Pals family in Japan.) Perhaps He intends our mission field to remain in the states, or even in my current town. Regardless–I want you to know that this precious family’s life and death has had huge impact, and will continue to have a huge impact for the Lord, for generations. I know it. God bless you and keep you close to Him, as you mourn their loss and celebrate their lives. My heart goes out to you…

      1. after a year, our family has finally gained access to Jamison’s blog. I am just reading your words for the first time and I thank you for them. I trust you have come to no other conclusion than to give it all to Jesus. He will use you in whatever way is best, no matter where you end up. And God is definitely raising up a legion to go to Japan. We just got back from 3 weeks there, exploring the places Jami and Kathryne would have gone. We met with one family fresh to the field, and 4 others who had been in India. Their team of 8 were kicked out of India and will all be in Japan soon. We met with 2 “seasoned” missionaries there and the reports of awakening are encouraging. God is beginning to pour out His spirit on Japan. We are honored that He used our kids’ deaths in this way.

  2. I have no idea, now, how to support such an amazing family as yours, when you already know how amazing are the firsthand hugs of Jesus. But I will continue to pray for the people of Japan, the family who miss you, terribly, and that God will raise up a hundred more like you, fitted with shoes to bring the Good News to those who don’t know yet that they’re starving for hope. Welcome home, Pals family. Well done…

  3. I lost a son working for the Peace Corps. He was very Grounded it has faith in God, and had become a very much Christ like person in his work for the poor, and his inspiration to everyone he met. My greatest sympathies go to you and your family, and I hope that you take great consolation in the life of this amazing family service of our Lord

  4. To the Pals Family; We grieve with you yet rejoice at what amazing things God is doing in spreading his Kingdom through Jamison and Kathryne’s lives! All while they enjoy being in the presence of Jesus! We stand with you as you move through these days of a large range of emotions.

  5. Revelation 21:1-4
The New Heaven and the New Earth
21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place[a] of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people,[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.[c] 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
